Going to see the band Great Big Sea tomorrow 4/24/13 in Portland, ME.  It's their 20th Anniversary tour!  My friends and I were introduced to this wonderful band while we were on the Barnaked Ladies "Ships and Dip" cruises (man, those were fun!).  Great Big Sea is a folk-rock band from Newfoundland and Labrador, best known for performing energetic rock interpretations of traditional Newfoundland folk songs including sea shanties, which draw from the island's 500-year-old Irish, Scottish, and French heritage.
